Laurence is the founder and CEO of Pavegen – a clean-tech company that generates electricity from the kinetic energy of footfall.
Having graduated in 2009 with a 1st class honours in Industrial Design & Technology from Loughborough University, Laurence then went on to win the prestigious Royal Society of Arts International Design Directions competition, which funded construction of the first Pavegen prototype. Pavegen was then founded in 2009.
Laurence is a regular speaker at various technology and entrepreneurship events worldwide. This includes being a speaker at international events including 4 Ted Talks and the UN’s +20 climate conference. Last year he was a keynote speaker for the 6th annual All-Energy Australia Exhibition & Conference and took part of the government trade missions to China and Atlanta.
